The mayor was in studio, talking about Main Street and Richmond Avenue among other things. Scott declared that Mike was the best mayor we've had (this month). And also the worst. :) Enjoy.

Thursday we learned that a principal in the Newfane School District was arrested and charged with groping for, apparently, revealing himself to ... and then grabbing ... an undercover Tonawanda Police Officer at Ellicott Creek Park. I was pleased that this show wasn't completely in the toilet, although, I definately said some things that were out of character for me.

We spent much of Wednesday's show talking about the alleged police brutality on Washington Street and the problems Mercy Flight is having finding a new place to land. Also discussed, Karl Rove, Newfane Schools, NASA and more. Just remember: "It's the truth. It was in the newspaper."

Tuesday was an Open Dialog, but Scott spent a decent amount of time picking on fellow WLVL talk show hosts Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly. We also discussed Amer, Niagara County cancer rates, traitor Karl Rove and more.

Monday we discussed that traitor Karl Rove and the ongoing series in the Gazette and the US&J about toxic crap in our back yards. We veered a little to discuss eminent domain and other stuff too. Overall, a decent show. Enjoy at will.

Friday Scott talked about a variety of topics ... from the Permanent Act ... to TraitorGate starring Karl Rove ... to alleged police brutality in Lockport ... to George Maziarz' fundraising prowess. We heard from someonw who's not supposed to call. And more.

County Manager Greg Lewis discussed Niagara County water quality (he has no problem drinking it); eminent domain (a good thing, apparently); non-profit groups (he likes 'em); and a bunch of other stuff too. Download away, folks.

Niagara County Historical Society Executive Director Melissa Dunlap was joined in studio by Barb and Nelson Colley to discuss Old Olcott Days, coming up July 30 and 31. Then half way through the show, we talk with Reid Cox, General Counsel of the Center for Individual Freedom about the nomination of Robert Johnson to the high court.

Tuesday, we spoke with Ben Piper from Pro English about instituting English as an official language. Good conversation. Thereafter, we discussed the Karl Rove issue an d took phone calls about a variety of issues.

Scott returns to the microphone and takes calls - asking: What happened in his absense? We discussed the KKK fliers at City Hall, the problems with the downtown median in front of Papa Leo's, superintendent's salaries, and Karl Rove.

On the fifth day, Tom interviewed Tom Riley, executive director from LCTV. Also, several people called to tell Tom how much they loved his hosting this week and how much they hate Leffler. Unfortunately for them, this is Tom's last stand as Dialog host until Scott gets another day off ... and God knows when that will be.

Day 4. Tom talks with Lisa Kozarovich, who's currently the editor of the Niagara Gazette. After Lisa parts (shw's only on the first half), Tom takes several calls pertaining to the Gazette.

Day three of Scott's vacation. Tom talks shop with Lockport's library director Peggy Lynch and NIOGA director Mary Brink. Some neat stuff.

Tim Marren and Marc Linsday were guests for day two of Tom Christy's Dialog. They discussed how the Union Sun is run. Lots of talk about Glimpses. If you don't know what Glimpses are, you'll have to listen to the show.

Tom will play while Scott's away. This is the first of five Tom Christy Dialog shows. He takes this on himself - sans guest. Al calls. Fights with Tom. And someone calls late in the show telling him he talks too much and should take more calls ... to which Tom explained that he was talking BECAUSE THERE WERE NO CALLS!!! Good times.

The day after the London bombing, we hosted two guests on the topic. Ilan Berman, vice president for policy at the American Foreign Policy Council took the first 15 minutes of the show or so ... and Laina Farhat-Holzman took another 15 minute segment. Dr. Farhat-Holzman explained that the Muslim extremists are trying to get moderate Muslims to feat them ... and that's one of the reasons for the attacks. Great show, IMHO. Download it often.

A brutal attack against the city of London was orchestrated early in the morning on July 7th. We discussed the bombings that left dozens dead and hundreds injured ... how it affects us ... and why do we have color coded security if we're just going to stay at constant yellow. (note: after the show, the color was raised to orange "for mass transit systems.") I badgered some folks for not caring ... some took offense.

We held a George W. Bush birthday bash for the president's 59th. Some people took offense (big shock) and other's took pot shots at W. We spoke with Robert Rudelic about power tapping ... a sort of accupuncture that can help calm us liberals down (or anyone for that matter) when we get all frustrated. Robert said he has sessions designed specifically for liberals upset about W ... and he usually gets $175 an hour!!! Gotta love that free-market economy. Oh, by the way, I make people sick. :)

Tuesday's guest talked about The George Washington Prophecy. Daniel Lion believes that our first president saw the future of the United States and warned of such events as the Civil War and September 11th. Kind of a different guest for us, but I found him interesting ... and so did some of the callers.

I took July 4th off - like any red-blooded American would ... and instead played a few of my favorite clips. We begin with an interview with Gary Hayes, candidate for Sheriff. Then a discussion on Swift Boat Vets and wrap things up with a monolog about George W. Bush's vacation time. After all is said and done, a little encore song called "Kick Out the Republicans." It's got a good beat. You can dance to it. And a great message too.

Friday's show was all over the board ... just like I like it.

Peter De Krassel talked about what's wrong with America and how we can fix it. De Krassel seemed to think that emulating Hong Kong as much as possible is the answer to alot of our problems. Hmm. Interesting. I'll probably bring this guy back on again some time just cause he was so interesting.
