Wednesday's show began with a couple emails about county employees and ran rough-shod over everything imaginable. From Terry Schiavo to the Pope to hospital equipment to - well, you get the point.

Tuesday's show focused on two bogus news stories. First that the state would have an on-time budget for the first time in 21 years ... second that AFSCME is willing to "give up" cosmetic surgery. Both stories are "true" ... kind of. AFSCME President Ed McDonald called in to refute my remarks. It was a fun show.

Monday's show included a lenghty rant by Scott - upset that Republicans don't seem to think that rules apply to them. There was a long phone call by the woman who seems to believe that Michael Shiavo is pure evil ... of course this is the same woman who said she'd point out W's flaws "if he had any" - so consider the source. Enjoy.

Mayor Mike in for his montly visit. We talked about the city's "illegal signs" and my buddy Don Perry was kind enough to call ... and I even let him ask a question ... and whaddya know ... it was about illegal aliens. Good times.

Thursday, March 24, 2005. Tom Christy of LCTV's Legislative Journal and founder of the FAIR Government Foundation dropped by to chat for a bit. The conversation went well - so well, in fact, that Tom will be back in about six weeks to sit down and do another show.

Here's a lovely little tidbit where a woman can't understand the difference between me and Channel 2's Scott Levin ... and she kept calling my friend Clip Smith - "Cliff" while maintaining that I apparently had something against him. "Gather your facts. Then call in."

A regular female caller was complaining about John Kerry's purple hearts ... and Scott points out the hypocrisy of people complaining about Kerry's purple hearts while ignoring the fact that W was hiding under a sheet somewhere.

The president of the Starpoint Teacher's Union says the teachers may need to strike. Scott kind of took issue with this.

John Gibson is a regular fill-in for Bill O'Reilly. One day he was going on about how un-biased he is ... and was going to prove it by lambasting a Republican ... who he said was a RINO. So I called him out on it ... cornered him ... And he admitted to being conservative. Good fun. August 6, 2004.

In the days after Ronald Reagan passed, there was a huge push to put Reagan's face on the dime - to get rid of FDR. I debate with myself how best to honor Reagan ... in the form of cash.

John Cole and Shirley Urtel came on to talk about the need for Mount View. A woman called to agree with everything they said. Too bad she also felt it neccesary to irritate me. So I hung up on her.

Howard Dean had a scream. George W had a list of countries helping the war on Iraq. And James Brown had a list of cities that were "Living in America." I mixed 'em all up into one song.

A woman called whining about me insulting the president ... so I compiled a list ... and asked callers to add to it ... which they did magnificently.

I took a silly speech George W gave about "an old saying in Tennessee ... I know it's in Texas probably in Tennessee that says fool me once ... shame on ... shame on me ... but fool me can't get fooled again" and mixed up with with the Who's "Don't get Fooled Again." Enjoy.

A gentleman used to call alot - whining about John Kerry and Vietnam. Rather than talk about 2004, he continually talked about Vietnam. This was a fun phone call.

A frequent female caller complains about the left leaning-ness of my show and says the station needs a right-leaning show to counterbalance. I explained that we had a right-leaning show in Bill O'Reilly, who she then claims is a big leftist. Hmm. Who knew?

Wednesday's show was a hoot. Terry Jones was the guest ... He was supposed to be on for the 1st half of the show, but didn't appear until after the bottom of the hour. BUT Mr. Jones definately made himself worth the wait. If this show isn't riddled with promo material, I don't know what is.

A guest from "For Our Grandchildren" was supposed to take up the 1st half of the show to discuss why it's good to privatize Social Security ... but she failed to show up. New York State's AARP Director Lois Aronstein joined us to explain why privatization is bad after the first break.

Monday was your usual slacker Monday ... with the exception that Scott had a serious rant to start the show. Congress clearly overstepped their bounds on this Shiavo thing. But that's the danger you get when your legislative branch thinks it's all-powerful.

Friday's show was pretty interesting. First we spoke with Larry Cuocci - whose mother asked him to kill her when he was 17. Then we talked about the Terry Schiavo case and congress' penchant for getting involved in things that shouldn't concern them. Some interesting Dialog in this show. Enjoy.

Thursday, March 17, 2005. Niagara County Manager Greg Lewis in for the montly Dialog. We discussed Medicaid and the county budget. And I present the skunk poll to the listeners. Greg voted for "Squirt," by the way.

My friends John Hall and Melissa Dunlap on for their monthly plug of the Niagara County Historical Society. We talked about ... not much of anything really. John suggested we anchor Easter to a fixed day - like the 2nd Sunday in April. I asked listeners to help me name my skunk. I got several good (and some not-so-good) answers ... which I then used to make a poll (online at http://www.scottleffler.com)

Tuesday's show we talked with a guy named Robert Bowie Johnson who penned a book called "The Parthenon Code." Pretty interesting stuff. Had a special show intro created just for my skunk incident. We talked more about the cell-phone hating judge from Niagara Falls and I hung up on a guy TWICE ... cause he just doesn't understand what "barred for life" means. Plus other interesting stuff that I don't particularly remember right now. Download and enjoy.

Monday, March 14th, 2005. It was a slacker kind of day. We talked about me being misquoted in the Buffalo News (damn media) and the skunk that lives under my porch ... plus we express our frustration with a Niagara Falls judge who jailed an entire courtroom cause he couldn't find out who's phone rang.

Friday's show continued where we left off the day before. Listeners chimed in with their opinions on what happened that fateful September day 3 1/2 years ago.

Enver Masud says he doesn't believe a Boeing 757 hit the pentagon on 9/11/2001. And he thinks the government knows the real story and isn't telling. Masud was the guest by phone and we took calls from skeptical listeners on the topic. Unforunately, the first minute and a half or so is cut off, but it doesn't hurt the podcast - which was ... interesting ... to say the least.

Wednesday's show, we talked with Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America - a pro-gun group in DC. Larry spoke of the new National ID card being battered around in congress. For more on Larry's group, visit www.gunowners.org

Tuesday, March 8, 2005. Lockport Superintendent Bruce Fraser visits for the first time in quite a while. We talk about a bunch of things ... and he promises to return before the school budget vote, slated for May 17.

Monday, March 7, 2005. I talk with Tommy DeVoe - son of Angela ... who went in the drink for his mother cause she had a "bad back." Plus we take phone calls on a variety of topics and have water related bumper music.

Niagara County Legislator Glenn Aronow is on about every six weeks or so ... and it's always fun. Parts of the show got a little contentious. We spent a lot of time comparing Niagara County to the County of Erie. Enjoy.

Thursday, March 3, 2005. Niagara Falls Mayor Vince Anello made his inaugural trip into the Dialog studio. I thought it went well. And I think they mayor did, too. He took some heat - but that happens when you're mayor. I think he'll be back. And of course, I'll let you know if he comes back.

Wednesday, March 2, 2005. Dr. Seuss would have been 101 today - so in his honor, we had a Seussy show. Lots of rhyming and griping. In fact, I created a Dr. Seuss-esque rhyme about Niagara County, which can be found on a seperate post ... and is read during the first couple minutes of this podcast. Thanks to the callers who stuck to the Dr. Seuss format. It made my day.

For Wednesday, March 2, 2005 (which would have been Dr. Seuss' 101st birthday, I created a Niagara County Seussian rhyme. Many people said they enjoyed it, so I decided to upload it seperately from the show - for your pleasure.

Tuesday's show was an "open Dialog" but we talked alot about Social Security. The first phone call was golden. Show kind of went downhill from there ... but it almost had to - that exchange was just priceless. Enjoy.

Recently, US Senator Rick Santorum, R-Pennsylvania, held a forum on Social Security. During that forum a chant was begun by Santorum's followers; "Hey Hey. Ho Ho. Social Security has got to go." I took the chant and mixed it up. Enjoy the remix.
