Thursday, February 24, 2005. Apparently, my "Swiftboat Nazis" comments irritated some people. We discuss it more ... plus we talk with Victoria Rockwell about Engineers Week and we discuss NightFall with Nelson DeMille.

Show from Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005. I talked about a moron who wrote an email to my boss saying (s)he was going to start a boycott ... but didn't sign the letter. I also discussed the new lie campaign by the "Swiftboat Vets for Truth," who I referred to as "Swiftboat Nazis," which apparently, upset some folks. See. apparently, you're only allowed to pick on a Vet if his name is John Kerry. Who knew? :)

Open session on Tuesday, February 22, 2005. Talked about the Erie County budget fiasco and what we'd do if it happened here; the need for a "people's union"; Mount View; and the NFTA trolley. Kind of eclectic. Rather funny.

Just another Slacker Monday. (ooh awoah). Wish it were Sunday. (ooh awoah). Cause that's my fun day. (ooh awoah). Of course, Monday's fun too. I let "the people" have control of the show ... kind of. Enjoy.

Friday's show. Denise Young and Anne Calos from the Union Sun & Journal stop by and get some interesting phone calls. It's always fun to have Anne and Denise on cause it's the rare occasion when I can play the role of the good guy. :)

County Manager Greg Lewis in studio for his monthly visit. A lot of the conversation was hinged on Medicaid and how it hurts county government.

Monthly visit from the Niagara County Historical Society ... talked about the history of Pendleton.

Lockport Mayor Mike Tucker in studio taking phone calls. We talked about a lot, but frequently came back to the city fire department. At the end of the show, a firefighter called and didn't help his cause. You'll have to listen to appreciate it.

Mike Hudson, editor of the Niagara Falls Reporter, dialed in to discuss the ongoing problem with members of the media literally selling out to the GOP. Then we opened up the phone lines to talk about whatever else.

Wednesday's show was pretty good. Paul Dyster was the guest. Man, this guy has done a bunch of cool stuff. Aside from being a former NF Councilman and Mayoral candidate, he was a member of the CFR and an arms negotiator for the State Department. Good show - and we'll bring him on again soon.

I thought Tuesday's show was pretty good. Erik Clements and Melvin Taylor discussed Black History Month and explained why it's not only good, but necessary ... and will be for some time.

Monday's show was co-hosted by Ray Sherman. Ray and Scott spent the show talking about the commercials from Sunday's big game - which they both agreed weren't as good as in years' passed. Several callers chimed in to agree and to talk about the spots that they liked best.

I must admit, this show was a disappointment for me. We were supposed to hear from three people alltogether. One to talk about gay marriage. A second to discuss tort reform and a third to discuss Social Security. Only the tort reform guy (Ken Standard) decided to show and he was nearly 10 minutes late. What's up with that?

Scott revisits the 2005 State of the Union speech and explains why and where it was flawed.

What will the Shrub say is going on in this country? Only time will tell.

Former Congressional Candidate and job saver Jack Davis wants to get us to buy American ... and not shop at Walmart. Listen for his ideas to save the economy.

This is a typical Slacker Monday. Scott tries to take it easy and allows the callers to monopolize the show so he can get over his hangover. That's the definition of Slacker Monday, BTW.
