Mon, 28 November 2005 Monday's show we talked about the search for a superintendent in the Lockport school district, as well as the Starpoint School Board decision to extend their superintendent's contract by two years. Wed, 23 November 2005 Ron Anderluh from The Summit was in studio to talk about the past, present and future of The Summit Park Mall. It sounded a little "infomercialish" at times, but some neat details. For the record, "The Interview" is not a paid program. I have never and will never accept money for a booking. I was interested in the mall and thought you might be too - so don't worry, I'm not selling out. :)Comments[2]
Wed, 23 November 2005 Got an email from a guy who doesn't like the brand of show I do. I disputed his claim that he was in the majority. And a bunch of callers agreed with me. That doesn't happen often. Oh, and the "Target" caller from the other day called to say he was wrong. Good for him. Comments[0]

Friday's show was ALL OVER THE BOARD. But man, it was fun. Comments[1]

Short show due to lotsa commercials. Enjoy what there is, though. Comments[1]

Mon, 31 October 2005 So here's the dillio: I got sick of listening to the presidents same damn line of reasoning every other week about why we must "stay the course (or is that coarse) in Iraq," so I dropped the official Presidents Weekly Radio Address in favor of the hipper WeeklyRadioAddress.com. And since I was feeling comedic, I played an O'Reilly Factor parody and a song Scooter Libby sang in the shower. Plus I took phone calls, including one by that weenie Sal Paonessa. Overall, a fun show. BTW, they've been shorter than usual lately because of all the political ads. See, I take the ads out for the podcast. Just a little thing I do for ya. :)

Side note: It's always fun to see who calls when I'm away. It's the same phony people that are afraid to call when I'm in cause I'll call them on their lies. A couple of current Delphi employees called us and a couple of retirees did, too. Overall, a very entertaining show. One note; a caller said something about my not feeling bad for the workers. That's not true. I really do feel for them. I just don't think they are blameless in the situation. Plenty of blame to go around, unfortunately.Comments[0]

Mon, 10 October 2005 Delphi's announced bankruptcy filing is leaving Western New York confused and reeling. We discussed that Monday morning. Plus, the president did his weekly report on what he thinks is the most important thing in the land. This week, he thought the bio of his Supreme Court Nominee was more important than anything else. Um okay. I let Ruthie do the retort for me. Took her all of 7 seconds. Good show overall, lots of voices I was unfamiliar with. Enjoy.
Mon, 10 October 2005 Monday we talked with a woman who talks with angels. She talked about the different types of angels and ... um ... yeah. It was different. Fri, 7 October 2005 My planned guest for Friday had some crossed lines, so I played for you an old interview from Dialog from October 29, 2004. Scott Whiteman was a campaign adviser to presidential candidate Michael Peroutka. Personally, I felt like they relied too heavily on religion, diluting the "Constitution" part of the Constitutional Party. But others like them. Tue, 20 September 2005 Tuesday we talked about just about everything; starting with Scott complaining about CSEA and the Canal Corp combining forces to pick your pockets, then onto Monday's topic again (Casino Cash), and finally handicapped parking (how'd that happen). Plus somewhere in the middle we talked about school attendence and Scott told a story of getting caught skipping school. Overall a good show, but the audio quality of this one is kind of suspect - especially toward the end. Sorry about that. Hope you enjoy, nonetheless. Comments[0]
Mon, 19 September 2005 We began with the presidents weekly radio address and Scott's take on it. Then we switched to a very local topic - Niagara County's lawsuit against the city of Niagara Falls for the casino cash. Scott asked a simple question. Here's the scenario: You have $100. Also Monday, Ed McDonald gave his version of the McDonald vs. Aronow story, we discussed the City of Lockport hiring new police, civics lessons from professor Sandra Day O'Connnor, Glenn dissed Ed, and more. A very entertaining and energetic episode of Dialog. Finally, I have decided to rename "slacker Monday," since I don't slack that much for Monday's show. I'm thinking "MRE: Monday's Review of Everthing." Comments[0]

Thu, 4 August 2005 SCOTUS nominee John Roberts was the topic of the day Thursday. Grant Lally of the New York Republican Lawyers Association played it cool. Fri, 29 July 2005 The mayor was in studio, talking about Main Street and Richmond Avenue among other things. Scott declared that Mike was the best mayor we've had (this month). And also the worst. :) Enjoy. Comments[1]
Thu, 28 July 2005 Thursday we learned that a principal in the Newfane School District was arrested and charged with groping for, apparently, revealing himself to ... and then grabbing ... an undercover Tonawanda Police Officer at Ellicott Creek Park. I was pleased that this show wasn't completely in the toilet, although, I definately said some things that were out of character for me. Comments[0]
Wed, 27 July 2005 We spent much of Wednesday's show talking about the alleged police brutality on Washington Street and the problems Mercy Flight is having finding a new place to land. Also discussed, Karl Rove, Newfane Schools, NASA and more. Just remember: "It's the truth. It was in the newspaper." Comments[0]
Tue, 26 July 2005 Tuesday was an Open Dialog, but Scott spent a decent amount of time picking on fellow WLVL talk show hosts Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly. We also discussed Amer, Niagara County cancer rates, traitor Karl Rove and more.Comments[1]
Mon, 25 July 2005 Monday we discussed that traitor Karl Rove and the ongoing series in the Gazette and the US&J about toxic crap in our back yards. We veered a little to discuss eminent domain and other stuff too. Overall, a decent show. Enjoy at will. Comments[2]
Fri, 22 July 2005 Friday Scott talked about a variety of topics ... from the Permanent Act ... to TraitorGate starring Karl Rove ... to alleged police brutality in Lockport ... to George Maziarz' fundraising prowess. We heard from someonw who's not supposed to call. And more. Comments[0]
Thu, 21 July 2005 County Manager Greg Lewis discussed Niagara County water quality (he has no problem drinking it); eminent domain (a good thing, apparently); non-profit groups (he likes 'em); and a bunch of other stuff too. Download away, folks. Comments[0]

Mon, 18 July 2005 Scott returns to the microphone and takes calls - asking: What happened in his absense? We discussed the KKK fliers at City Hall, the problems with the downtown median in front of Papa Leo's, superintendent's salaries, and Karl Rove. Comments[0]
Fri, 15 July 2005 On the fifth day, Tom interviewed Tom Riley, executive director from LCTV. Also, several people called to tell Tom how much they loved his hosting this week and how much they hate Leffler. Unfortunately for them, this is Tom's last stand as Dialog host until Scott gets another day off ... and God knows when that will be. And someone calls late in the show telling him he talks too much and should take more calls ... to which Tom explained that he was talking BECAUSE THERE WERE NO CALLS!!! Good times. Fri, 8 July 2005 The day after the London bombing, we hosted two guests on the topic. Ilan Berman, vice president for policy at the American Foreign Policy Council took the first 15 minutes of the show or so ... and Laina Farhat-Holzman took another 15 minute segment. Dr. Farhat-Holzman explained that the Muslim extremists are trying to get moderate Muslims to feat them ... and that's one of the reasons for the attacks. Great show, IMHO. Download it often. Comments[0]
Thu, 7 July 2005 A brutal attack against the city of London was orchestrated early in the morning on July 7th. We discussed the bombings that left dozens dead and hundreds injured ... how it affects us ... and why do we have color coded security if we're just going to stay at constant yellow. (note: after the show, the color was raised to orange "for mass transit systems.") I badgered some folks for not caring ... some took offense.Direct download: Dialog_070705_-_London_Terrorist_Attack.mp3 Category: Dialog -- posted at: 10:45 AM Comments[0]
Wed, 6 July 2005 We held a George W. Bush birthday bash for the president's 59th. Some people took offense (big shock) and other's took pot shots at W. We spoke with Robert Rudelic about power tapping ... a sort of accupuncture that can help calm us liberals down (or anyone for that matter) when we get all frustrated. Robert said he has sessions designed specifically for liberals upset about W ... and he usually gets $175 an hour!!! Gotta love that free-market economy. Oh, by the way, I make people sick. :)Comments[0]
Tue, 5 July 2005 Tuesday's guest talked about The George Washington Prophecy. Daniel Lion believes that our first president saw the future of the United States and warned of such events as the Civil War and September 11th. Kind of a different guest for us, but I found him interesting ... and so did some of the callers.

Mon, 4 July 2005 I took July 4th off - like any red-blooded American would ... and instead played a few of my favorite clips. We begin with an interview with Gary Hayes, candidate for Sheriff. Then a discussion on Swift Boat Vets and wrap things up with a monolog about George W. Bush's vacation time. After all is said and done, a little encore song called "Kick Out the Republicans." It's got a good beat. You can dance to it. And a great message too.Comments[0]
Fri, 1 July 2005 Friday's show was all over the board ... just like I like it. Comments[0]
Thu, 30 June 2005 Peter De Krassel talked about what's wrong with America and how we can fix it. De Krassel seemed to think that emulating Hong Kong as much as possible is the answer to alot of our problems. Hmm. Interesting. I'll probably bring this guy back on again some time just cause he was so interesting.

Mon, 27 June 2005 Monday was a slacker kind of day, but Scott wanted to discuss the planned closure of the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station - what with the BRAC Commission in town and all. Tue, 21 June 2005 Jim Haid came out to talk about Group Workcamps, a great organization that gets kids to come fix up Lockport. After the break, we opened things up and mainly talked about Dick Durbin. A caller tried to slam Durbin ... but it didn't work out that way. Fri, 17 June 2005 We started with a monolog by Scott about the situation with the Newfane Superintendent's contract. Jim Mills (the Superintendent) called to correct Scott on some issues ... and then when Scott asked him some questions, Mills bolted. Numerous calls followed about the Newfane district. Overall, a very good show. Comments[1]
Thu, 16 June 2005 The Niagara County manager took some good phone calls and answered some good questions. We talked about the problems in Erie County and I asked him directly if we test for plutonium in the drinking water. He didn't know but said he'd find out. Comments[1]

Fri, 10 June 2005 Legislator Aronow was hit with good questions right from the beginnning of the show. We talked about Niagara County's water supply (is there Plutonium in it? - Glenn's checking). We also discussed his opponent, casino money and that grundler we've heard so much about. Glenn's always entertaining ... and Friday was no different. Comments[0]
Thu, 9 June 2005 Continuing with a theme for the week, we discussed the hazardous crap at Starpoint. Annemarie Reeb was in studio to discuss what they know about Starpoint and what they don't know. Several phone calls toward the end of the show.Comments[0]
Wed, 8 June 2005 After a quick "Swiftboat Nazi" call, we got right back to talking about the nasty crap that's in the water ... the air ... and the ground. Overall, a good show. Comments[0]
Tue, 7 June 2005 Tuesday's show was quite serious. Let me sum it up. Some people in the scientific community believe that there may be Plutonium in the drinking water in Lewiston ... and believe that Niagara County is a hazard to your health. I talked with Lou Riccuiti (pictured) and Dr. Janette Sherman about the findings and what it all means.Comments[0]
Mon, 6 June 2005 Typical Slacker Monday. I prepared for nothing and yet was ready for anything. Well, don't ya know this guy calls with a doom and gloom prediction and says Lockport's the pits and never will improve. The callers didn't stand for it. He got ripped. And good. Fun comments. Fri, 3 June 2005 On Friday, Tom hosted Dialog while Scott took a vacation day to catch up on doing nothing. Tom fielded a bunch of calls on a variety of topics and heard from some friends we haven't heard from in a while, including Al - who said he won't call me until I appologize. To quote George Bush the elder: "Na Ga Doit. Wouldn't be prudent." Comments[0]
Thu, 2 June 2005 LCTV Host and all-around good guy Tom Christy co-hosted Thursday's show. We talked about the Confederate flag a little more; (Tom isn't really writing a book called: "Slavery - It Was Good for the Slaves." We made that up); Deep Throat; John McCain and other fun stuff. Download. Enjoy. Repeat. Comments[0]
Wed, 1 June 2005 Wednesday started where Tuesday left off. More thoughts on the flying of the Confederate flag. I say it's offensive. Other's feel differently. The last caller on this podcast actually tries to defend slavery of all things. Imagine that. A Dialog first, I assure you. Other topics on this podcast, the ACLU (good) and DeepThroat (also good). Tue, 31 May 2005 Tuesday we did "Slacker Tuesday" since there was no Monday show ... and Scott discussed something that irritated him: Confederate flags. He just doesn't get it. Do people not know what the Confederacy stood for? Or do they not care? Why not display a Nazi flag? Same basic tone, right? Some interesting phone calls. No one outright stood up for the Confederate flag fliers ... but a few people backhandedly did. Thu, 26 May 2005 Paul Pazniokas called up to talk about his plan for voting reform which would assign each voter with a "vote word." Interesting idea. Tue, 24 May 2005 Tuesday's podcast focused on the role of religion in government - to which I say "there is none." I thought this show had a good monolog ... although, I'm sure some people thought "I talked too much." If you like hearing me complain, you'll like this show. Comments[0]
Mon, 23 May 2005 After waiting to talk about the Newsweek fiasco, the guy who had wanted to talk about it finally called ... and then didn't want to talk about it. So I give you my take on that. Plus we discuss the state giving Viagra to sex offenders. And other stuff too. You'll fully enjoy this show or your money back. Comments[0]
Fri, 20 May 2005 During Friday's show, I took the time to tell my friends on the Common Council - especially John Lombardi and Scott Cercone - as well as my friends at the US&J - what I was thinking. Tue, 17 May 2005 So Tuesday, May 17, 2005, I get a phone call from a woman upset that I was complaining about a TV commercial. The TV commercial was paid for by the NYS Teachers Association and it said "vote yes on your school budget." I thought it unconscionable that anyone could suggest approving all school budgets without knowing what is in the budget. So I suggested that anyone voting yes because of this commercial is stupid. Listen to the clip if you want to hear the woman's take. Note: I only make these clips available if I think they're really good. I think you will agree. Mon, 16 May 2005 Friday the feds announced that they were looking to close the Niagara Falls Air Base. Wed, 11 May 2005 Here's the rundown. A caller wanted me to apologize for something which he misinterpreted. I'm not responsible for callers failure to comprehend my plain-spoken English. We banter back and forth for about 7 minutes on my calling the "Swift Boat Vets for Truth" Nazis. Then he politely hangs up. Invest the bandwith ... and the 10 minutes it'll take to listen to the whole thing. This is a definate highlight. Wed, 11 May 2005 The first phone call on this show has been the highlight of my ... oh, at least a month. Basically, this caller wanted to know why I hadn't appologized for calling veterans Nazis. The answer is becuase I didn't call vets Nazis. He also said that some vets won't listen to the show again until I do appologize. I wished them a fond farewell. Thu, 5 May 2005 Tom Christy - live and in person - er, well, he was Thursday morning. What you're downloading is from earlier. You can't podcast live. That's against the principle of podcasting. Anywho - a good show. Tom's a great guest and I'm going to see how we can work him into the mix more often. Also - a great phone call from a gentleman who seems to believe that the ACLU is behind all the world's evil. Tom's response to the call was priceless. Worth it just for that exchange. (BTW - picture was taken at the Brewhaus, where Tom and I went for coffee after the show).Comments[0]
Wed, 4 May 2005 We talked about a little bit of everything on Wednesday. One particular entertaining phone call concerned a guy with cats that he was looking to get rid of. I couldn't help him ... but told him where to go (no - not like that.) Another good call concerned regionalism from our friend Conspiracy Bob. And I'm sure I said some stupid stuff, too. Technically, this was an open show, but after the first caller raised the Terry Schaivo issue from the dead (although not Terry herself), it was almost all Newfane all the time. Enjoy. Mon, 18 April 2005 Monday's show focused a lot on Newfane's upcoming budget vote. As you may know, I opposed the Newfane budget last year and got all sorts of hatemail/ threats because of it. And the budget passed anyway. People will work hard to pass it again this year ... and others will work hard to see it fail. Should be fun to watch. I talked during this show about a story in which a conservative posterchild suggests the assassination of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy. A guy called to refute what I was saying. It was a good conversation. Overall, a good show. Enjoy. BTW, the picture has nothing to do with the story - I just thought it was funny that W, who admittedly doesn't read the papers, gave a speech to a bunch of journalists, who don't know how to report on politics.Comments[0]
Fri, 15 April 2005 Friday's show consisted of three interviews. First, we talked with a representative of the IRS. Then we talked with someone about "tax freedom day" and finally, a gentleman who says we can fund government better ... without taxes. Mon, 4 April 2005 Monday's show discussed a variety of topics from cosmetic surgery ... to school aid ... to erectile disfunction and penile enlargement. Once the show starts to go downhill, it goes quick, ya know? Comments[0]
Fri, 1 April 2005 Every Day is April Fools when you have to put up with the idiots we elect in New York State. We haven't had a budget on time in 21 years ... and they pass some shell of a budget Thursday and say they're done ... "but there's more work to do." In other words, they're not done ... and it wasn't on time. Unfortunately, the media has eaten it up. I complain about that and take a couple phone calls ... plus we play some fun political satire songs. Happy April Fools Day.Direct download: Dialog_040105_-_April_Fools_On_Time_State_Budget.mp3 Category: Dialog -- posted at: 2:34 PM Comments[0]
Fri, 1 April 2005 I took some news clips and strung them together with some Eminem in the background. Poignant. Enjoy. Comments[0]
Thu, 31 March 2005 Thursdays show dealt with how much government interferes with our lives ... and how big business is in bed with government to glean as much information from us as possible. We are catalogued. We are inventoried. We are not free. This topic will undoubtably come up again. There's a great thread on this topic on the forum at ScottLeffler.comComments[0]
Wed, 30 March 2005 Wednesday's show began with a couple emails about county employees and ran rough-shod over everything imaginable. From Terry Schiavo to the Pope to hospital equipment to - well, you get the point. Comments[0]
Tue, 29 March 2005 Tuesday's show focused on two bogus news stories. First that the state would have an on-time budget for the first time in 21 years ... second that AFSCME is willing to "give up" cosmetic surgery. Both stories are "true" ... kind of. AFSCME President Ed McDonald called in to refute my remarks. It was a fun show. Mon, 28 March 2005 Monday's show included a lenghty rant by Scott - upset that Republicans don't seem to think that rules apply to them. There was a long phone call by the woman who seems to believe that Michael Shiavo is pure evil ... of course this is the same woman who said she'd point out W's flaws "if he had any" - so consider the source. Enjoy. Comments[0]
Fri, 25 March 2005 Mayor Mike in for his montly visit. We talked about the city's "illegal signs" and my buddy Don Perry was kind enough to call ... and I even let him ask a question ... and whaddya know ... it was about illegal aliens. Good times. Comments[0]
Thu, 24 March 2005 Thursday, March 24, 2005. Tom Christy of LCTV's Legislative Journal and founder of the FAIR Government Foundation dropped by to chat for a bit. The conversation went well - so well, in fact, that Tom will be back in about six weeks to sit down and do another show. Comments[0]
Wed, 23 March 2005 Here's a lovely little tidbit where a woman can't understand the difference between me and Channel 2's Scott Levin ... and she kept calling my friend Clip Smith - "Cliff" while maintaining that I apparently had something against him. Wed, 23 March 2005 A regular female caller was complaining about John Kerry's purple hearts ... and Scott points out the hypocrisy of people complaining about Kerry's purple hearts while ignoring the fact that W was hiding under a sheet somewhere. Comments[0]
Wed, 23 March 2005 The president of the Starpoint Teacher's Union says the teachers may need to strike. Scott kind of took issue with this. Comments[0]
Wed, 23 March 2005 John Gibson is a regular fill-in for Bill O'Reilly. One day he was going on about how un-biased he is ... and was going to prove it by lambasting a Republican ... who he said was a RINO. So I called him out on it ... cornered him ... And he admitted to being conservative. Good fun. August 6, 2004.Direct download: Scotts_Fight_with_John_Gibson_080604.mp3 Category: Sound Clips -- posted at: 5:35 PM Comments[0]

Wed, 23 March 2005 John Cole and Shirley Urtel came on to talk about the need for Mount View. A woman called to agree with everything they said. Too bad she also felt it neccesary to irritate me. So I hung up on her. Comments[0]
Wed, 23 March 2005 Howard Dean had a scream. George W had a list of countries helping the war on Iraq. And James Brown had a list of cities that were "Living in America." Wed, 23 March 2005 I took a silly speech George W gave about "an old saying in Tennessee ... I know it's in Texas probably in Tennessee that says fool me once ... shame on ... shame on me ... but fool me can't get fooled again" and mixed up with with the Who's "Don't get Fooled Again." Enjoy. Comments[0]
Wed, 23 March 2005 A gentleman used to call alot - whining about John Kerry and Vietnam. Rather than talk about 2004, he continually talked about Vietnam. This was a fun phone call. Comments[0]
Wed, 23 March 2005 A frequent female caller complains about the left leaning-ness of my show and says the station needs a right-leaning show to counterbalance. I explained that we had a right-leaning show in Bill O'Reilly, who she then claims is a big leftist. Hmm. Who knew? Comments[0]
Wed, 23 March 2005 Wednesday's show was a hoot. Terry Jones was the guest ... He was supposed to be on for the 1st half of the show, but didn't appear until after the bottom of the hour. BUT Mr. Jones definately made himself worth the wait. If this show isn't riddled with promo material, I don't know what is. Comments[1]
Tue, 22 March 2005 A guest from "For Our Grandchildren" was supposed to take up the 1st half of the show to discuss why it's good to privatize Social Security ... but she failed to show up. Wed, 2 March 2005 Wednesday, March 2, 2005. Dr. Seuss would have been 101 today - so in his honor, we had a Seussy show. Lots of rhyming and griping. Fri, 31 December 2004 Friday, December 31, 2004, I played back some of my favorite interviews from the year that was ending. On the slate for the show were Lewiston Porter School Board Member Ed Lilly, who I had interviewed September 10; Assemblywoman Francine DelMonte who was on my show on July 2 and I haven't heard from since (think it was the interview?); Author Dean Koontz (December 10); Local businessman and former congressional candidate Jack Davis (April 6); Democrat demagogue and perennial presidential candidate Lyndon Larouche (July 13); Judge Andrew Napolitano, Fox News anylist and constitutional scholar (December 21); and finally WalMart buster Al Norman (June 3); The show ends with a song - as I always do on my "worst of" shows (secret - this is so the board op can fade out wherever the show ends because the show length fluxuates). Anyway, the song is Daniel Bedinfield - If Only I Can Get Through This, which I was using as my theme song at the time. Comments[0]
Thu, 30 December 2004 Last open dialog of 2004. People shared their opinions on the year ending. And I asked folks what their favorite interviews of the year were, which i then used to create a clips show for the following day. One guy wanted to complain about one of our sponsors. Had to shut that down quickly. Not that i'm opposed to dissent but if I were sponsoring a show where someone disses me, I'd be a little miffed. Lots of Starpoint discussion. Comments[0]
Wed, 29 December 2004 Open Dialog. Talked about the competing ball drops between Wilson and Lockport. Scott wonders aloud why the terror level hasn't been raised for New Years Eve. "An Amendment To Be." - (worth downloading just for that). Legislature complaints ... even from Wilson Supervisor Jerry Dean. Comments[0]
Fri, 24 December 2004 Oops. Somehow this stopped recording about half way through this show, so we missed some stuff. Mayor Mike Tucker makes his last appearance of the year in studio. Magician Paul Kiev joined us via phone to discuss The Legend of Earth Sea on the Sci Fi channel. Paul's Website. Wed, 8 December 2004 The Niagara County Legislature says they're not willing to take a mere $2 million for Mount View, since it's assessed at $9 million. Scott says get rid of it anyway. And we basically talk about the county's ineptitude. If you're looking to understand Niagara County in 43 minutes, this is the show to download.

Tue, 7 December 2004 This show was primarily on foreign policy. Scott asks why it is neccessary for us to bully the rest of the world. Some callers are upset with Scott's contentions. Comments[0]
Mon, 6 December 2004 An odd collection of happenings. Missing plastic explosives at a French airport. Missing airport uniforms in Canada - found for sale on eBay. And ... um ... where's that Osama guy? Oh, and, there seems to be $1 billion of taxpayers money that the state is using to fund pork projects. *sigh* Direct download: Dialog_120604_-_Things_that_are_missing_for_100_please_Alex_1.mp3 Category: Dialog -- posted at: 10:00 AM Comments[0]

Thu, 2 December 2004 John Edgell talks with Scott about his Arnold Schwarzenegger bobblehead dolls and the suit against him for it. We also have open Dialog. The show is shorter than usual because WLVL Newsdirector John Raymond had breaking news about Kitchen World - which had recently undergone a large fire - in the middle of the show and I cut that out. Wed, 1 December 2004 Consumer Rerports Guy Michael Finney joins us by phone to help prevent us from getting ripped off. We discuss his book, Consumer Confidential and then had open Dialog thereafter. Tue, 30 November 2004 County legislator Bill Davignon came into the studio to talk about what the Democrats are hoping to accomplish while in the majority and how it's possible to win an election by one vote - twice in a row. Canada voted "no confidence" in their government. Why can't we do the same? And who would you vote no confidence in? Lots of good discussion from callers. Overall a very good show.
It's Christmastime all over the land. And Ron Clancy talked with me about the history of some great American Christmas songs. This podcast actually has more to it than the on-air version did cause I ran out of time on-air - where as the internet ... we have unlimited space. :)

What DIDN'T we talk about on Friday. From Harry Potter and what houses George Bush and Dick Cheney would be in ... to college funding ... to waking up next to a naked guy ... to a woman comparing me to a teacher ... Friday's show was ALL OVER THE BOARD. But man, it was fun.
Dolah is a job transition expert. What with all the termoil and Delphi and job tension in WNY in general, I thought she'd make for a great guest. But for some reason, people were apprehensive to call - so she and I goofed off for an hour.
Ann Marie Linnaberi joined Melissa in studio to talk about Thanksgiving traditions and more.
County Manager Greg Lewis was in studio talking mainly about the county budget. He said it's irresponsible to ask for a zero budget increase at this late date.
Alderman at Large Joe Kibler and his opponent, Diane Tuohey were in studio on Tuesday - taking phone calls on the only city-wide race this election cycle.
Author and paranormal expert Mason Winfield offered up some delicious details on scary places in Western New York - and specifically Niagara County. Want more on Mason,

Author Joseph Klein talked about what's wrong with the United Nations and why we should be leary of the "globalists." In the end, it's all about the "liberals." *sigh* Check out
President Bush discussed illegal aliens. So did we. I played a phone call from a Gasport man to Bill O'Reilly from last week. We also discussed the city's "free" new mobile command unit. Enjoy.
Paul Gallagher, an economic analyst and editor for Executive Intelligence Review, joined us by phone on Wednesday to talk about the Delphi bankruptcy and what should be done with the auto industry. Some very interesting ideas that may sound far fetched at first, but make sense when you think of it. For more information, visit
John Hall and Melissa Dunlap were in studio Wednesday discussing the poor house and the Chataqua Movement. Calls were slow to come in, but it was an interesting topic.

Bob Nelson, author of 1,001 Ways to Reward Employees, was our interview de jour. He proved to be worth the wait. Check out his books at
LCTV talk show host and friend of mine, Tom Christy was in studio Friday to discuss our recent trip to New York City. We really just wasted an hour of our lives and if you listen, you'll be wasting an hour of yours, too. But ... have at it if you'd like. The pictures I mentioned can be viewed
I was done with my rants about Delphi. But the callers sure weren't. I offered "open Dialog," but I think every call was about the ongoing situation with Delphi. A couple of current Delphi employees called us and a couple of retirees did, too. Overall, a very entertaining show. One note; a caller said something about my not feeling bad for the workers. That's not true. I really do feel for them. I just don't think they are blameless in the situation. Plenty of blame to go around, unfortunately.
Bankruptcy attorney and author Stanley Kershman was Wednesday's interview - talking about the Delphi bankruptcy, the new bankruptcy bill going into effect and how both affect you. It was a good interview overall. Learn more at
GOP Election Commissioner Scott Kiedrowski was in studio on Wednesday to talk about what's going on at the BOE. Of course, I've been hard on the board and I asked the questions I wanted answers to. I wasn't about the "beat him up" since he was nice enough to come in, but that didn't stop some callers from doing it. Hopefully, Scott's compadre Nancy Smith will come in studio soon as well.
Former congressional candidate Jack Davis talked about his organization SaveJobs, discussed the problems at Delphi and how to fix them (kill NAFTA, CAFTA and GATT), and discussed his political future (he's forming an exploratory committee to run for congress). Jack's always fun. Enjoy.
Monday we talked with a woman who talks with angels. She talked about the different types of angels and ... um ... yeah. It was different. At one point I said that bad angels follow me around and make me do bad things, to which she replied; "I can't confirm that."
Delphi's weekend announcement that it was filing for bankruptcy sent shockwaves through Western New York. We discussed it. Several different people called. Oh and in the beginning, we played the president's address and let Ruthie do the retort. Took all of seven seconds. Good show overall.
My planned guest for Friday had some crossed lines, so I played for you an old interview from Dialog from October 29, 2004. Scott Whiteman was a campaign adviser to presidential candidate Michael Peroutka. Personally, I felt like they relied too heavily on religion, diluting the "Constitution" part of the Constitutional Party. But others like them. I will occasionally run "reruns" of previous interviews. The scheduling folly just made for a quicker re-run than I had planned.
Debbie Diederich, director of
Scott talked with childrens book author Katherine DeBrecht about her best selling book, "Help Mom! There are Liberals Under My Bed." It was a good interview. I hope you enjoy it.

Scott retorts the presidents weekly radio address and we discuss claims that a Keith McNall aide made campaign calls from the school board - on the taxpayers time. Both McNall and Glenn Aronow call.
Tuesday's show was a little bit of everything ... but mainly gas prices and whose fault it is. Plus we discussed who has the cheap gas and who's screwing us. Moral of the story: Sunoco=good. Noco=bad. Enjoy.
Although it was Labor Day - and Scott was taking the day off - he still responded to the President's Weekly Radio Address. And also shared his thoughts on Kanye West's comments during Friday's relief concert. Plus, we played eight songs that were anti-war/pro-peace/anti GWB.
Here's the song list:
# 1) Jacob's Ladder - by Chumbawumba.
# 2) Teach Peace - The Tom Conner Band
# 3) Lean on Me - ABC Radio Network
# 4) Shame on You, Mr Bush - Jocke Bobers/Janne Palmen
# 5) Sunday, Bloody Sunday - The Party Party
# 6) I am a Patriot - Eddie Vedder (of Pearl Jam)
# 7) Wake Up - Cold Duck Complex
# 8) MKLVFKWR - Public Enemy and Moby

We discussed the government's pathetic efforts to help the hurricane torn region down south and the price gouging being done throughout the country on gasoline.
You never know what Lyndon LaRouche is going to say ... as indicated in this promo, which blames Dick Cheney for 9/11 and the casualty rate from Hurrican Katrina.
This is Lyndon's third trip to Dialog. And man, was it a fun show. Lyn makes me look like a conservative, the things he says about the administration. We talked about "acting president" Dick Cheney pushing for a pre-emptive nuclear attack on Iran, September 11th, and Hurricane Katrina. This is one to listen to over and over.
For more information on Lyn, visit
Congresswoman Louise Slaughter made a rare appearance on Dialog. It's been 18 months since her last visit. IMHO, this one went quite well, so I'm hoping it won't be another 18 months until her next one. I think I asked every question that was asked of me. We certainly could have had her on for the whole hour.
Author John Longenecker joined us by phone to discuss his book, "The Battle We Fight," - on the topic of Potomoc Fever, that little disease the people get when they get elected to Congress ... which causes them to spend money like water. After we talked to John, we talked about the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Base and the BRAC Commission.
The president says we must stay the course in Iraq - cause of all the good reason's we're there in the first place. How many reasons are there, after-all? Phone calls ranged from a guy who needed a house for his cats to people asking where we'll start war next. Iran? Syria? I guess we'll just have to wait to find out. The "consolation" is that we probably won't have to wait too long.
Wednesday's guest talked about religious fundamentalism ... and his opinions on bible stories. The second half, we talked about Nagasaki again.
We started a new feature on Monday. Scott played the Presidents Weekly Radio Address ... then gave his point of view on the topic at hand - in this case, the economy. I'm thinking "MRE: Monday's Review of Everthing."
It's always fun when legislators Glenn Aronow and Rick Updegrove share in the Dialog. These are two serious guys ... but who don't take life TOO serious. This show is a good mix of work and play - accentuated by an interesting disagreement between the legislators and Fred Laskey ... in which, they admitted, Fred was right. Good show overall. Enjoy.
Tuesday was an Open Dialog, but Scott spent a decent amount of time picking on fellow WLVL talk show hosts Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly. We also discussed Amer, Niagara County cancer rates, traitor Karl Rove and more.
A brutal attack against the city of London was orchestrated early in the morning on July 7th. We discussed the bombings that left dozens dead and hundreds injured ... how it affects us ... and why do we have color coded security if we're just going to stay at constant yellow. (note: after the show, the color was raised to orange "for mass transit systems.") I badgered some folks for not caring ... some took offense.
We held a George W. Bush birthday bash for the president's 59th. Some people took offense (big shock) and other's took pot shots at W. We spoke with Robert Rudelic about
Tuesday's guest talked about
I took July 4th off - like any red-blooded American would ... and instead played a few of my favorite clips. And a great message too.
Peter De Krassel talked about what's wrong with America and how we can fix it. De Krassel seemed to think that emulating Hong Kong as much as possible is the answer to alot of our problems. Hmm. Interesting. I'll probably bring this guy back on again some time just cause he was so interesting.
Wednesday, Wiley Miller was our guest. Wiley, as you may know, is the artist behing
Tuesday's show, we talked with a Dr. Donald Berman, MD about nuclear mishaps around the US and the presidents push for more nuke plants.
A writer on the forum wrote this great little poem about our illustrious congressman, Tom Reynolds. It was so good, I had to read it aloud for the live audience. Here it is.
Jim Haid came out to talk about Group Workcamps, a great organization that gets kids to come fix up Lockport. After the break, we opened things up and mainly talked about Dick Durbin. A caller tried to slam Durbin ... but it didn't work out that way. (hint: feel free to disagree with Scott, just make sure you can think on your feet)
Continuing with a theme for the week, we discussed the hazardous crap at Starpoint. Annemarie Reeb was in studio to discuss what they know about Starpoint and what they don't know. Several phone calls toward the end of the show.
Tuesday's show was quite serious. Let me sum it up. Some people in the scientific community believe that there may be Plutonium in the drinking water in Lewiston ... and believe that Niagara County is a hazard to your health. I talked with Lou Riccuiti (pictured) and Dr. Janette Sherman about the findings and what it all means.
LCTV Host and all-around good guy Tom Christy co-hosted Thursday's show. We talked about the Confederate flag a little more; (Tom isn't really writing a book called: "Slavery - It Was Good for the Slaves." We made that up); Deep Throat; John McCain and other fun stuff. Download. Enjoy. Repeat.
Wednesday started where Tuesday left off. Enjoy.
Tuesday we did "Slacker Tuesday" since there was no Monday show ... and Scott discussed something that irritated him: Confederate flags. He just doesn't get it. Do people not know what the Confederacy stood for? Or do they not care? Why not display a Nazi flag? Same basic tone, right? Some interesting phone calls. No one outright stood up for the Confederate flag fliers ... but a few people backhandedly did. Enjoy.
Paul Pazniokas called up to talk about his plan for voting reform which would assign each voter with a "vote word." Interesting idea. After we talked with Paul, I talked about other vote reform ideas and pointed out that New York hasn't gotten off it's butts to fix our system. The phones were quiet, but that didn't prevent me from talking. For more info,
Friday the feds announced that they were looking to close the Niagara Falls Air Base. Now, I'm no fan of the military industrial complex, but I don't understand the thought of closing military bases while we're at war. Some listeners, however, think closing the base is a good thing.
Tom Christy - live and in person - er, well, he was Thursday morning. (BTW - picture was taken at the Brewhaus, where Tom and I went for coffee after the show).
My friends in Newfane have riled me again ... what with deception on tax increases and the board president getting an "internship" with the district, it makes you wonder what the heck is going on down in Panther country. Technically, this was an open show, but after the first caller raised the Terry Schaivo issue from the dead (although not Terry herself), it was almost all Newfane all the time. Enjoy. The photo, by the way, is from my
Author Sammy Sorrell says we need to focus our resources on terrorism within our borders (a.k.a. crime). How do we do that though? We'll have to revisit this topic becuase 45 minutes just wasn't enough time.
I had had enough of the hypocracy from the right ... and I let it be known. I assumed that people would call ME a hypocrit, but my detractors must be off enjoying a vacation with their oil profits or something.
Tuesday's show, we talked with Sam Williams from
Monday's show focused a lot on Newfane's upcoming budget vote. Enjoy. BTW, the picture has nothing to do with the story - I just thought it was funny that W, who admittedly doesn't read the papers, gave a speech to a bunch of journalists, who don't know how to report on politics.
Lyndon LaRouche joined us by phone again. We were scheduled to talk for 20 minutes ... which turned into the whole show. As he was before, Lyndon was a GREAT guest. Sound bites galore. Enjoy.
Supervisor Tim Demler came in to the Lockport studio to talk about the going's on in Wheatfield. We actually spent a lot of time talking about the Niagara Wheatfield School Board's decision to buy some land for $600,000 ... despite the fact that it has a declared value of $150,000 and was recently purchased for just $125,000. Hmm. Interesting.
Bill Rolland and Tim Henderson from Residents for Responsible Government dropped by to talk up their spring meeting (4/14/05) at which Ralph Nader will be discussing the crap in our proverbial back yard. Bill and Tim took phone calls and answered questions. For more on this, check their
Tuesday's show featured frequent caller and listener Fred Laskey, who is starting a group called the Niagara County Taxpayers Union (wonder where he got the name?). Fred came on to plug their first meeting April 9th at 7 p.m. at the Lockport Library. Fore more information listen to the show.
Every Day is April Fools when you have to put up with the idiots we elect in New York State. Happy April Fools Day.
Thursdays show dealt with how much government interferes with our lives ... and how big business is in bed with government to glean as much information from us as possible. We are catalogued. We are inventoried. We are not free. This topic will undoubtably come up again. There's a great thread on this topic on the forum at ScottLeffler.com
John Gibson is a regular fill-in for Bill O'Reilly. One day he was going on about how un-biased he is ... and was going to prove it by lambasting a Republican ... who he said was a RINO. So I called him out on it ... cornered him ... And he admitted to being conservative. Good fun. August 6, 2004.
In the days after Ronald Reagan passed, there was a huge push to put Reagan's face on the dime - to get rid of FDR. I debate with myself how best to honor Reagan ... in the form of cash.
A guest from "For Our Grandchildren" was supposed to take up the 1st half of the show to discuss why it's good to privatize Social Security ... but she failed to show up. New York State's AARP Director Lois Aronstein joined us to explain why privatization is bad after the first break.
Monday, March 14th, 2005. It was a slacker kind of day. We talked about me being misquoted in the Buffalo News (damn media) and the skunk that lives under my porch ... plus we express our frustration with a Niagara Falls judge who jailed an entire courtroom cause he couldn't find out who's phone rang.
Enver Masud says he doesn't believe a Boeing 757 hit the pentagon on 9/11/2001. And he thinks the government knows the real story and isn't telling. Masud was the guest by phone and we took calls from skeptical listeners on the topic. Unforunately, the first minute and a half or so is cut off, but it doesn't hurt the podcast - which was ... interesting ... to say the least.
Wednesday's show, we talked with Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America - a pro-gun group in DC. Larry spoke of the new National ID card being battered around in congress. For more on Larry's group, visit www.gunowners.org
Niagara County Legislator Glenn Aronow is on about every six weeks or so ... and it's always fun. Parts of the show got a little contentious. We spent a lot of time comparing Niagara County to the County of Erie. Enjoy.
Wednesday, March 2, 2005. Dr. Seuss would have been 101 today - so in his honor, we had a Seussy show. Lots of rhyming and griping. In fact, I created a Dr. Seuss-esque rhyme about Niagara County, which can be found on a seperate post ... and is read during the first couple minutes of this podcast. Thanks to the callers who stuck to the Dr. Seuss format. It made my day.
Thursday, February 24, 2005. Apparently, my "Swiftboat Nazis" comments irritated some people. We discuss it more ... plus we talk with Victoria Rockwell about Engineers Week and we discuss NightFall with Nelson DeMille.
Open session on Tuesday, February 22, 2005. Talked about the Erie County budget fiasco and what we'd do if it happened here; the need for a "people's union"; Mount View; and the NFTA trolley. Kind of eclectic. Rather funny.
This show is an interview with two people in the Believe in Buffalo-Niagara organization. It was a decent show ... but due to a technical glitch, we missed the first three minutes or so. Their website is www.believeinbuffaloniagara.org
Scott revisits the 2005 State of the Union speech and explains why and where it was flawed.
W keeps paying these journalist types to promote his agenda. Where's my cut? What would you have to be payed to sell out and throw your ethics out the window?
John Cord is a guy I met in NYC back in July. He thinks the right-wing religious types are a buncha phonys. I agree. So did a lot of you. This was a pretty good show, IMHO.
Why do most Americans think that Saddam was one of the masterminds behind 9/11? Becuase he was. Or, so says Dr. Hugh Cort, our guest. After our conversation with Dr. Cort, I threw open the phone lines and discussed ... whatever. Enjoy.
This is what happens when you open the phone lines, turn on some microphones, and broadcast it over the radio. Open Dialog. Then at the end of the show, we discuss religion for the first time in 2005. Is God a Democrat or a Republican? Listen to find out. Greg Placencia tells us.
Roger Simmermaker tells us what brands are REALLY American. Good show.
Author Langdon Morris says he's upset about the current state of national politics. Shockingly many of you are, too. We start with phone calls and them Morris to finish out the show.
