The Wheezing Stumblers are off to NYC. But they wanted to do a little radio in WNY before they left. Different from what we're used to.

Siriun Geometry - from Niagara Falls - filled in on the fly for a band that no-showed. They didn't play ... but we listened to some of their tracks and they talked about them. In studio with them - Christian Fisher, their publicist. He was in PR whore mode. Kinda funny. We both knew each others names were familiar and came to realize, he published a book by two women I met in NYC last year. Small world.

Oral Roberts, a Christian singer, was in to help promote the upcoming Kingdom Bound, a Christian music and worship festival at Darien Lake.

Jairid, also known as Best of Intentions, was in studio on Friday. The first two songs were aired live - and are a little horse. The third and fourth song are internet only editions and are a little smoother.

Lockport rockers Gil Transit tore it up Friday. This is the first band that we've had for Music Friday that's brought drums. The levels are a bit loose, but it's hella fun to listen to anyway.

Ron and Nancy cut it close on time, showing up Friday just before they were set to start playing, but the weren't any worse for the wear. It was a different brand of music than we've been used to from Music Friday's, but it was a very welcome change of pace. The best part is that they played "Little Brown Shack Out Back." Chris Sax performed three songs in studio on Friday. One, an original, and the other two were covers of great classic songs. Chris is only a junior in high school.

Lockport's Handsome Jack was in studio performing and discussing their work. They played two acoustic songs and we listened to a third off their CD. Listen for these guys around Western New York this summer.

Jason was in studio at WLVL and performed and amazing SIX SONGS in the time we had together. Three of the songs he played were his own and three were cover tunes. If you liked Jason's music, buy a CD. I hope you guys are supporting local music.

Dave Stockton - of Pocket Change - did two songs live in studio and talked about his music and photography on Friday's show. He was the first musician we've had to play an electric guitar in studio. It still sounded great.

Dennis Farley and Jeremy Kirkpatrick, members of Gorilla Punch did two live acoustic songs in the WLVL studios, plus we played a third song off their EP and chatted about life, music and politics.
